PRICES AND QUOTATION

Quotations are an estimate only, are subject to final survey and are only valid for 30 days. All prices quoted are E&OE (errors and ommissons excepted) and may be subject to change without prior notice.  Prices are only applicable to the specifications as stated on the written quote.   

No provision is made in the quote for Customer changes or revisions. Changes required by the Customer must be requested in writing and accompanied by the Customer signature.  

If you are quoted lower prices for the same specification of products, please fax, e-mail or post a copy of the quote to us to compare, as we aim to be competitive with our pricing structure.  

ORDER CANCELLATION

Where contracts are negotiated and immediately signed away from our business premises, you have the right to cancel the contract if you are unhappy with your contract for any reason. This right can be exercised by delivery of a cancellation notice to Wiltshire Glass & Windows Ltd at any time within seven working days from the date of the contract. This should be by registered post or Royal Mail special delivery. However, if this contract was signed by yourselves and subsequently sent to us via post or email, you are deemed to have waived your right to seven working days cancellation period.

Cancellation of orders after the seven working days will only be accepted by giving notice in writing to Wiltshire Glass & Windows Ltd and the Customer will be liable for all material costs incurred up to the date of receipt of the cancellation notice.  

Following any final survey which reveals significant unforeseen additional work being required at an extra cost to you, or your property being unsafe or unsuitable for the work to be carried out, both you and we have the right to cancel the contract.  In the above event you will be provided with full details of the survey findings.  

INSTALLATION

We shall not be liable for any delay in the completion of the work which arises from causes beyond our control.  (for example: fire, flooding, civil disturbances, strike action by others, criminal damage and acts of war.) We will remove and dispose of all replaced existing doors, windows and frames unless you ask us to leave them on your premises.  We will be liable for any damage caused to your property, except decoration, which was not necessary for the completion of the contract and such damage was caused by us not exercising reasonable care and skill.  

PAYMENT

Payment of all orders executed in full are due on completion and until paid in full the goods remain the property of Wiltshire Glass & Windows Ltd. Should there be a delay in completion for reasons beyond the control of Wiltshire Glass & Windows Ltd or the Customer, part payment comparable to the work completed would be required. A retention would be agreed between both parties, with the balance payable on final completion.  

                                                    GUARANTEE                                               

We guarantee to repair where we deem it to be practicable and appropriate and if not, to replace, free of all charges for labour and materials, any white PVCu product and any insulating glass unit which develops a fault within ten years of the date of installation. 

Wiltshire Glass and Windows Ltd will not be held responsible for any claims caused by internal or external condensation and does not guarantee to cure this. The guarantee for the glazing units applies only if condensation occurs on the inside cavity of the sealed units.

Mechanisms and hardware have a guarantee of five years subject to regular maintenance and fair wear and tear. Coloured PVCu frames have a guarantee of five years.

You must notify us of any claim under the terms of your guarantee within twenty eight days of discovery of the fault stating your invoice or lead number.  

Should you sell your property the remainder of the guarantee would be transferrable to the new owner for a nominal fee, materials would be replaced free of charge, however any labour costs would be payable by the new owner.    

Despite the fact that your statutory rights remain unaffected, this guarantee does not extend to:-  - Minor imperfections with the glass and outside the scope of the visual quality standards of the Glass and Glazing Federation

  • Damage due to misuse, neglect or lack of maintenance by you, or from causes beyond our control, (for example: fire, flooding, civil disturbance, criminal damage or acts of war.)  
  • Specialist items installed, for example, electrical ventilators, batteries etc, where the manufacturers normal guarantee will apply.  
  • Any work carried out by others associated with this installation or to those parts of this installation affected by work by others, other than work carried out by this company or its employees and sub-contractors.                  

Nothing in these conditions will reduce your statutory rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods and services.   For further information about your statutory rights contact your Local Authority Trading Standards Department or Citizens Advice Bureau.
